The Outlook Restaurant can seat upto 12 guests and is ideal for hosting your closest family and friends for an intimate gathering the night before. It enjoys its own access to the bar but is set apart to ensure a sense of privacy.
The Harbour View Restaurant
For the larger party there is the Harbour View Restaurant which can accommodate upto 50 guests in comfort (or 60 with a buffet). As the name suggests the views are of the quayside and distant countryside. This restaurant is light and airy and is superb for a wedding reception with more extensive celebrations.
Dining
Our chefs are passionate about the food they create and know when it comes to quality it is the little things that count. That is why they use the finest seasonal ingredients and source only the best local produce available. With the Romney Marshes, on the doorstep of Rye, being host to the famous Romney Marsh Sheep delicious lamb dishes are always available. And the local fishing boats coming in every day with fish caught in the Rye Bay area we are always guaranteed a wealth of fabulous seafood.
As everything is created on the premises, whether you are looking for a lavish traditional formal menu or a more informal buffet our chefs will be happy to assist you with your menu and any personal requirements.
We have an excellent wine list and our Hotel Director is more than happy to offer suggestions in choosing the correct wine to complement your chosen menu.
For the younger members of the party there is a children’s menu or we can adjust any of the Wedding Breakfast menus accordingly (where possible).
Accommodation
When you organise your Wedding Reception at the Hope Anchor Hotel we would like to offer you the Sankey Suite for your Wedding Night. This is a wonderful four-poster suite with a cosy seating area and fantastic views. And when you celebrate your first year anniversary we will offer you a complimentary nights stay in the same four-poster suite.
If you take over the entire property you and your guests can enjoy the special day with that wonderful relaxed feeling of home from home and discounted room rates.
We have 16 delightful rooms, each individually styled and furnished to a very high standard. Each bed is dressed in crisp bedlinen and sumptuous fluffy towels are provided. Many of the rooms enjoy breathtaking views across the quayside and marshes towards Winchelsea or across the red tiled roofs of Rye.
All are ensuite and have digital TV and direct dial telephones. Wifi internet connection is available in the public areas of the Hotel and is complimentary to all guests.
We also have three family rooms and to care for the youngest members of your party we can provide you with travel cots, high chairs and baby listening devices.
Gathering Party
The idyllic charm of Rye is such a draw that we do suggest that wedding guests staying at the Hotel arrive a day in advance. This will not only allow yourself and your guests plenty of time to gather together and catch up and to get ready for the big day without any stress or unexpected surprises; but also to enjoy the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere of Medieval Rye.
